Unlike other Trust Bearings, the Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings has high axial loading capacity. It can support axial loading capacity and several radial loading capacities at the same time.
Due to the high axial loading capacity and ability of self-aligning, the co-axiality and shaft deflection have small impacts to the bearing.
Different structures have different allowable self-aligning angles. Generally, the self-aligning angle should not be more than 3°. If the axial load is higher, the allowable self-aligning angle should be smaller.
The Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings support single-direction axial loads only and limit the single-direction axial displacement; therefore, it can be used as the single-direction axial location. Compared with the Cylindrical roller thrust bearings, it has higher load carrying capacity, lower relative sliding, but lower limit rotational speed.
